David is a strategic executive with significant middle market experience. He has held the positions of CEO, CFO, SVP-Operations, General Manager, Controller, and Director of Financial Planning and Analysis for a number of companies in Media, Technology, Private Equity, e-Commerce, Manufacturing, Food Services, and Professional Services.  David’s broad experience makes him a unique combination of financial acumen, business savvy, and strategic sensibility, developed over a successful 35-year career.

David was part of the original team that conceived and started-up Telemundo Group, Inc., the Spanish language television network now owned by NBC-Universal.

David has worked on over 50 transactions valued at a cumulative $1 billion, and raised debt and equity with total proceeds of more than $800 million.

As CFO for Splashlight LLC, a visual content production company that serves the large retailers’ e-commerce businesses, David developed and maintained credible relationships with all stakeholders, refinanced the company’s senior debt, and reorganized the company, all of which stabilized the operation and led to the successful execution of its business plan.

Prior to Splashlight, David was the CFO, SVP and Treasurer of NexCen Brands, Inc. (NEXC) where he presided over the growth of the small cap company by completing nine acquisitions valued at $300 million over a span of 15 months, which created an $80 million revenue company.

From 1994 to 2006, David held the title of CFO or equivalent for several media, broadcasting and Internet ventures including Latin Communications Group, a diversified media company operating radio and television stations, and a newspaper, built through acquisitions having $70 million in revenues, and eChips, a $75 million venture backed by four Fortune 500 companies in the electronic components industry.

David began his career with Ernst & Young, LLP, and was recruited in 1984 to the venture capital division of Reliance Group Holdings, Inc., a $10 billion insurance and real estate company, where he helped launch Telemundo Group, mentioned above.  David held progressive financial and operating positions at both companies through 1994.

David earned his BA in Political Science from the University of Rochester and MBA from the Simon Business School there.  He is a CPA in New York.  David has been active with several not-for-profit entities in various board and advisory roles.
