Erwin Isman
Senior Managing Partner

Erwin Isman has over 40 years of consumer products experience and brings a wealth of financial and senior management experience to Insight Partners. Over the course of his career, Erwin has demonstrated an expertise in strategic alliances, organizational restructuring, overhead reduction programs, asset value preservation and general business strategic planning.

As Co-Founder and President of Perry Ellis International, Erwin developed the business into a premier name in American design.  During his tenure, he was instrumental in the conception and structure of Perry Ellis Portfolio, a successful secondary collection.

Subsequently, Erwin served as Principal and President of Cygne Designs, a designer and better sportswear and dress firm.  He repositioned the $5 million branded business into a $50 million private label supplier whose clients included the Limited, Ann Taylor and Talbots.

As President and CEO of Alexander Julian Enterprises, Erwin furthered his reputation for profit improvement by increasing profitability 50%.  He turned the company around within one year by maximizing successful product lines and reducing overhead with no loss of efficiency.

Prior to starting Insight Partners, Erwin served as a director in the Turnaround, Operational and Financial Consulting Division of Edward Isaacs & Co., LLP, as President of I.C.G. Consultants, Inc. and as Managing Director of the Consulting and Crisis Management division of MMG Advisors.

Mr. Isman is a Certified Public Accountant specializing in operational analysis and management information systems.  He received his Bachelor in Business Administration from City University of New York.
