Robert Wolff has over 50 years experience as a financial executive and management consultant for public and privately held consumer products companies.  He has held the position of Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer in the apparel manufacturing/import, home textile and other industries.  Bob brings a vast range of senior executive and consulting experience to Insight Partners.

As a consultant, Bob has provided financial and operating services to companies in early stage, in financial crisis as well as interim financial and operating management.  The focus of his services includes financial and business planning, cash management, organizational structure, information technology, financial controls, operating disciplines, expense reduction and management reporting with the knack of making quick accurate assessments coupled with the speedy execution of these strategies.

Bob’s business career began with the accounting firm Clarence Rainess & Co.  After obtaining his CPA license, he joined Villager Industries as Divisional Controller for its New York subsidiaries.  When Villager was subsequently acquired by Jonathan Logan Inc., he joined the corporate staff with responsibility for several operating divisions and preparation of documents for the SEC filings.  Bob then became Controller/CFO of Croscill Curtain Co., a leading manufacturer/distributor of home textiles.

Bob’s next position was CFO/COO for Vera Industries, a division of Manhattan Industries/Salant Inc., where he negotiated contracts as a licensor and licensee with an extensive network of licensing partners.  Vera was subsequently acquired by Sunweave Table Linens and Bob was named CFO/COO of the combined companies.  He then joined Val Mode Lingerie and guided it through a restructuring which resulted in the sale of the company to I Appel Corp.  After a short time as CFO/COO of Appel, Bob became CFO of the Winlit Group, a manufacturer of leather and textile outerwear.

Prior to joining Insight Partners, Bob served as a Director for the Consulting and Crisis Management division of MMG Advisors and for the past ten years has been performing consulting engagements related to turn-around management, early stage financing and business development, restructuring, mergers and acquisitions and has worked as “consulting” CFO for many companies.

Mr. Wolff has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from New York University.
